Sunset at Mungo and a hike up a large dune there.

There are some nice camping areas at the park with most choosing the one near the ranger station which has more facilities. We went for the one on the other side of the Wall of China as we had it to ourselves. Got some nice sunset shots while there.

Were plenty of Roo's around the place as well as a Shingle Back that was not so happy posing with the licence plate.

We headed from the park north to Menindee Lakes to have a look around there. But all the lakes were completely  dry with not a drop of water to be seen anywhere. The drought up here has really taken its toll. Did see a Shingle back lizard on the track on the way but was not too fond of posing with the number plate. So I picked him up and put in the bush away from any other vehicles.

Waukaringa ruins outside Yunta.

After the lakes we headed into Broken Hill for a re-supply and then onto Yunta. We wanted to take a shorter track across to Frome Downs out of Cockburn but the last section has been closed of to non station staff after some four wheel drivers went through years ago when the track was wet and ripped up the track. The owner was none to pleased to have to repair all this just so it could be used again for himself and staff.

We camped behind the Waukaringa homestead ruins 35 kms north of Yunta and enjoyed the perfect sunset after a good explore around the place.
