The sand is very loose here and I had to run lower pressures than normal while towing my trailer so I let both down to 15 psi as found 18 psi still not enough. I also had to put the rear shocks up to their maximum to stop the axle tramp I was getting on some of the steeper dunes which worked really well.

This track goes from one side of the Lincoln NP. to the other legally through the dunes!

You do find flat rocky sections between some of the dunes but so long as you take it easy there should be no trouble with running low tyre pressures.

There are some flat rocky bits in between the dunes and how is this for our lunch spot?

There is no beach access to drive on along the way but I would much prefer to be in the dunes anyway. Certainly more of a challenge than a flat beach and more interesting as well even though I enjoy beach running as well.

Like a mini Sahara and some of the steeper coast tracks.

We followed it right to the end to where the gravel roads start again. It was even good seeing a mere car having to stop at the end of the road and look longingly at the dunes ahead and then at us dropping off a large dune down to them! So it was time to air up again and was much easier now that we have a compressor as all the other years we had hand pumped them up again. We use a Bushranger Max Air compressor which leaves the ARB one for dead in inflation times and duty cycle performance plus all other comers worth far more. These are the same compressor as sold as the Viair 400C series in the States.

What a berm and not a bad looking assistant for the air up afterwards!
